Couch gaming with your buddies on PC is becoming more and more of a common occurrence, and I don’t get why the mainstream arm of the PC gaming industry hasn’t embraced local multiplayer.  Perhaps I should not complain, because the indie sector is doing a great job of making excuses for us to scream in the ears, elbow the ribs, and spit all over the faces of our buddies in close proximity.

Top-down violence has found a special place in our hearts since Tank Battle on Atari, and the twin-stick shooter continues to kick ass as the modern day evolution of this gaming art form.  Assault Android Cactus carries the torch with style, and is leaving early access this week.
